Hi,

My brother is 6'6" tall and is thinking of buying a Meta 5, looking at the top tube length the XL seems to be quite short compared to other brands. What are peoples thoughts of the XL Meta for his size.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm 6`5" and have a Meta 5 XL.. The 2010 model was noticeably more roomy on the top tube, than the 2009 frame I had previously.  I run mine with a 410mm Thomson layback post , 50mm stem and 810mm bars.. It fits like a glove with plenty of room to extend the post.

I'm 6' 5" as well and I'm riding a 2010 frame in XL.  Plenty of room.  Never had any trouble moving around and never felt cramped at any point.
I'm running a standard 90mm stem with and upright seat post.  I would recommend wider bars (710+) for a bigger rider though.

Odd. At 6'3" I found the XL perfect but still needed the saddle at max height. Mate is 6'5" and found it too small. I'd have said it's much too small for a 6'6" guy.

Horses, courses, and all that I guess!
