I'm probably way behind with this, but just noticed that CRC have the Meta AM bikes and framesets listed now; expected to arrive on 26th Jan..

Be interesting to see what offers they have on for them in the new year..

I'd doubt if they'll be discounted much on the CRC site, as they can hardly expect other shops to sell them, if CRC themselves are giving a big discount.

I could build up a decent spec ibis mojo Hd intense tracer2 or a yeti sb66 for same price as an AM1 so I'm out

Iain, that's all fine and well if you've already got pretty top end stuff to put on another frame, but if you were to build one from scratch with similar parts, it's going to cost you alot more than the price of an AM1!

But having looked at the spec of them, the AM1 does seem to be priced very high considering it's not that much higher a spec than the AM2...

However, if you want to see stupidly expensive, go and have a look at the Santa Cruz Syndicate Carbon edition. Alpine in Innerleithen have one in, and it's just stupid money for a bike that's not really that high a spec, or that light.

If I was to get one.. I'd just be looking at a frame and swapping the majority of my parts over.. My wheels convert to 142 easily, I'd just need a reducer headset and a BB30 adaptor

Not tried it.. From what I know they are pretty common on roadies..
