anyone have experience of EVS R4 neck brace? or EVS products in general

i asking cos I've read an a review that the quality isnt up to much but, that was compared to a Leatte brace.I'm after a neck brace but, find the £250 an upwards price tags shocking! Yea you get what you pay for but i cant help thinking its mainly to do with not much competition.
The review said the EVS was less bulky an offerd more movement compared to Leatte/Alpine stars wich im thinking is good for MTB and the £110 price tag is VERY tempting Smiley
cheers

Hello mate,

I've been using an EVS RC-Evo neck brace for the last year and to anyone who says the quality isn't up to that of a leatt... rubbish!

EVS are HUGE in the moto scene so they know what they're doing when it comes to this sort of stuff.

I've not gotten my hands on the R4 yet but speaking to some of the team guys in the US they love it.  It's quite similar to the Leatt but slightly lower profile as you say.

The best thing to do is go into your local MX store and try one on.  I went for the RC-Evo rather than wait for the R4 because I preferred the higher level of protection it gives (it's designed to not only stop the hyper-flexion and extension that the R4 / Leatt are designed for but to also transfer the loads onto your body differently to try and stop cracked scapulas!).

hope that helps a bit!

I got my wife a RC-Evo through our sponsors and its pretty good.

I bought a leatt before I knew about the EVS and the EVS is more comfortable and stays in place better than my leatt.

No crashes so far so I cant comment on how that feels but I have landed on top my head wearing the leatt and im ok

So for value I would rate the RC-evo
