I ordered one then managed to cancel it due to at the last minute after i read the computer spec to use one, which would of sent my laptop into meltdown mode. so until i sort that out the money is just burning a bigger hole in my pocket.

yeah thats what has put me off buying one for now, i only have an ultra mobile laptop(basically a netbook with a slightly bigger  screen and a tad more power) at the mo so im waiting untill i get a decent desktop first/

Question for anyone with an IT background- for a given PC spec, is Linux with one of the free editting packages quicker at processing video?

Or is it a case of you get what you pay for?!

Depends on the version of Linux, the application and a few other things.
