If u are going to run Meta 6 with 150mm fork, isn't that easier to buy meta 55 which does have fox 32 with 150mm suspension? Wink Like 2011 Team does have. You will find the info from Google, can't say anything about cracking, cause don't have experience about that.

2009 was the really bad year but some 2008 frames suffered from cracks.  I had a 2008 for a year (was nicked) without any cracks but can't be guaranteed.

Based on the trails you mention I'd say Meta 5. For me, a Meta 6 would only be worth it if I was riding genuine Alpine stuff, I don't think there's anything in this country that would warrant the extra burliness, except gentle DH runs.

I had both, well still have the meta 6. I would definitly say go for the meta 5.

My wife had my 08 meta 5 off me and boy do I miss that bike. I'm now running a meta 6 with 160mm forks and a 1x10 set up and i'm not gonna lie, its bloomin' hard work at trail centres. Its only because I have a high level of fitness that I can ride it round. I have taken it round afan and it feels too much bike for the trail. It's not as nimble on the climbs and the downs seem to easy. I'm over-biked.

I use the meta 6 as like a mini downhill bike some times at push up spots like Rogate and will be taking it to the Alps when I ride Les Deux Alpes again or if I can get away to the Mega.

I have considered selling/swaping it for a meta 5 some times as I loved the way it rode.
