Just a couple of questions to those who have been ( 100mphplus, MC). What month of the year is the best time to go heat and cost wise?

I got free digs just need flights and spends.

Also, does anyone have any idea about bike hire costs and or would it be worth taking my Meta. I know its only a 5 but I can only ride to my means.

Any help would be great.

Late august, early september has always been good for me, but it can still get a bit hot during the day. Whistler generally starts to get quiet after labour day weekend (early-mid september), and the bike shops start to reduce prices around then to clear out stock ready for winter.

I'm not sure on bike hire costs, as I've never hired one!
Personally, I'd take the Meta, as it'll be perfect for doing XC stuff there, and it shouldn't cost much more than a day or two bike hire to justify the cost of taking it.

Just out of interest, wouldnt it be cheaper to go to the little Whislter in Chatel France? Chatel bike park is known as the local Whistler or something like that?

I have rode my Meta there, but really you need a full DH bike as the Meta is not man enough for most of the jumps and DH trails. DH bike hire is quite expensive usually, not sure about BC. You can see why manufacturers are building bikes like the meta AM/alpine 160, give us one bike that will do it all for f*** sake.

You have Squamish, Pemberton, Vancouver and loads of other places in B.C.
