Bicycle Technologies International is a global wholesale distributor located in Santa Fe, New Mexico USA. BTI stocks 300 unique brands of bicycle components, parts, accessories and clothing - in all over 18,000 items to choose from for 2008. This year marks the company's 15th anniversary.
As you've probably heard by now, BTI is facilitating the stateside comeback of Commencal. The manufacturer has signed an exclusive deal partnering with BTI to distribute, market and support their bikes throughout the US, Central America, and South America. These brands are being sold through newly established Authorized Dealer channels on a territory basis, a move designed to protect independent bike shops and provide sustainable growth as Commencal gains a foothold in the US marketplace.
According to David Pergant, Commencal's Export Sales Manager, "
We approached BTI because of the company's reputation for outstanding customer service and its nationwide dealer network, as well as BTI's demonstrated commitment to independent dealers."
Mark Gullo the man heading up the Commencal effort at BTI has been an off-road bike enthusiast his whole life. An industry veteran and all around good guy, he is well known to many bike shop owners and riders. Throughout the season BTI will be trailering its fleet of demo bikes to events and bike shops in an effort to get the word out. Interested dealers are invited to contact Mark at 505 473-1010 or
mgullo@bti-usa.com.
"
We are very excited to be able to bring Commencal frames and bicycles to the US market" says Preston Martin, Vice President of BTI, adding "
Commencal's high performance mountain bikes offer innovation and quality that separate the brand from the competition."
Buyers in the US can choose from 14 different complete bike styles fitted with SRAM/ Shimano, Fox, Race Face and Marzocchi components and 10 different frame-only options.
