Awesome! Longer seat tube is a good move and the new shock mounting looks bomber. Would prefer to see the same shape top tube on the MiniDH too though Tim S

The Mini-dh is 1 of the first proto. In a french forum, a person who works for commencal said to us that the Mini-DH will have the same shape top tube than the DH. You can see too that the fixing of the rear shock (on the Mini-DH) is big & not beautiful but it's not the final form (look at the fixing on the DH )

I only got a spin around the car park on it, and it felt like a Supreme MiniDH!
Tim: Russ rode one for the day in 2Alps, get him to do a write up (Can Russ write?) ;-)

does anybody have any more photos of the 09 supreme minidh? i'm hoping it loses some weight and thus completes my build for the perfect bike. the only drawback with my current bike is the weight of the frame ( 05 supreme fr ) at a whopping 4 point something kgs with the shock. a lot more than my cannondale prophets 2.5 with out the shock. personally i prefer the supremes over the metas and don't really want a 666, so this could be the next step for me.

The bike rode sooo well. My favorite bike for alpine riding is the current MiniDH so I had high expectations. After a few hours hauling it round the French hills, I was sold. Do you ever get on a bike and think 'it just feels right'? It has a little more travel than the current model and it felt like more of a DH bike. Possibly, perfect for UK DH. I want one.
If someone wants to tell me how to insert a photo (Tim / Steve ?) then I have a couple of piccies...
Rus

Hey Rus, You need to host the image somewhere free ( like photobucket ) and then just insert the hyperlink inbetween image tags. Or just send me the images and I'll wack them up for you Tim

eh, well, cheers for the photo and added info. any more from whence it came (hehe)?
any word on the weight of the frame compared to the current offering? and how would this thing work with a fox 36 fork? the current one works like a charm with it and i'm thinking ahead here for the final stages of the "henrik builds his dream bike"- project.
and yes, sorry to ask about a 09 bike, but the meta is really not my cup of tea - that is it might be but i just don't want it - but it would still be nice to loose a little weight from the 05 frame i have now. keep in mind though that the end goal is a 6incher for all around larking about (everything from trail xc to resort riding) in the 14-15kg range with 2.4 tires and pretty much top notch kit(xo srivetrain, xtr crank, formula oros, crossmax sx, manitou evolver isx6, and so on). or hell, i should just stop now as the target is really met. but things could always get a little lighter ;-) oh yes, does more travel equal a longer stroked shock (or longer eye to eye)?

For the information you want, you will have to wait i'm afraid! Shock eye to eye and frame weight won't be finalised until the bike is further down the testing line...
I think this bike will work nicely with a Fox 36, Depending on what travel the final frame gives of course! It should be in the ballpark though.
