Both the Mighty CG and Gee Atherton are up for the MBUK Hall of Fame to celebrate 20 years of the Mag. They are up against Peaty, so it is not going to be easy, but good to see the two Commie riders up their at the top. Who would you choose?

NB: Don't use the SMS text option just email your choice to mbuk@futurenet.co.uk with the subject MBUKFAME

( Also worth noting that Gee took top honours a long way in front of Peaty this past weekend in the final round of the Alpine Bikes Winter series at Innerleithen )

It's a toughie. CG is still pretty new to Commie, but then Gee, whilst a future world champ for sure, is still yet to hit the big time.

They're both really nice blokes so that's no use either.

Actually, no, I'd vote CG. Only cus my wife already fancies the arse off Gee having spent the night chatting to him about bingo (yes, I know, don't make it worse), so give the guy anymore awards and she'll possible start stalking him.

@Steve: Are you sure that'd be a smart move? Would you seriously trust her with mentally unstable french man over Gee...? Huh?

She don't fancy CG, so I'm safe there. We're both in our 40's so she's in her toy boy phase. CG is way too old!

I thought exactly the same thing when I looked at the list. It is very confusing and doesn't really represent the last 20 years of Mountain Biking does it?!

Granted CG and Peaty should be there, but what about McRoy, or even good old Hans Ray?

But at the end of the day it is a mag, and they like to keep the people happy rather than write pulitzer winning articles.

Just dont be using the text option...'cos an email is free!

just seen the nominations on the mbuk website - good that the Commie boys are in there but considering it is to celebrate 20 years of the mag what a load of tosh, all the riders are present stars, what about some of the big names from the last 20 years, Jason McRoy springs to mind as somebody who was a big name championed by mbuk in the 'early' days who definately was a big influence on the sport and whose legend lives on with Peaty, Gee etc.
Surely they have missed an opportunity for a decent retrospective here Huh?

Erm are you mad mate?? Peaty is a big name from the past 20 years,he has been at the top for well over a decade, maybe even close to 15years now, just because he is still a present star dont mean he isnt old school,he is just so damn good that he is still able to compete with the new younger gen!!
Lets here it for our man Peaty...whoop whoop!!
He is an icon and a credit to british biking!
