I have asked the question on a different thread but thought I'd ask again. Sorry to keep banging on about it.

Can any Absolut or Max Max owners please confirm the following:

1 - what year is your Absolut / Max Max?
2 - does it have a rear disc brake?
3 - how is the rear disc brake caliper attached to the frame?

I purchased a 2008 Max Max a while ago, and although it had been upgraded from standard spec it still had v brakes and rigid forks. I have since bought a set of Dmr DV disc wheels and DJ3's, and have some old juicy 3's I can stick on it but haven't got an adaptor for the rear.

I have spoken to Real Cycles who say they can no longer get hold of one.

Do later models (2009+) have a different set up for the rear disc brake?
If not I don't understand why they don't exist anymore!!?

Does anyone have any idea what I could do to resolve the situation?
I know its a long long long shot, but does anybody have a spare? Will pay good money for one!

Your help would be really appreciated.

can you post a picture of the fitting? I've just put some new forks on my 06/7 and have a brake adapter for the front... it might work

http://shop.commencal.com/product_info.php?cPath=62_70&products_id=379

Suprised if Steve couldnt get one of them?!
They appear t be in stock direct from Commencal
Service from them is usually very good, about a week delivery from France. Postage can be expensive though so may as well treat yourself to some TShirts etc from the sale as well Wink
