wee vid of sundays outing to Inners. If any of you fancy going this will give you a wee steer on what its like. Of course everything is a bit rougher and a bit bigger than it appears on the vid.

Hope you enjoy it.

I'm on the Iron Horse. We had three Norco's, one Devinci wilson and one supreme DH.

Those step downs are about 2/3 feet. There are bit on the heavy side to land but you will OK on the reign. The biggest jump on that vid was the coffin jump which is a 20ft gap jump. The guy with camera you'll notice didn't do it and the two in front did. Speed is your friend for that one. Go in slow and you'll have tough landing and probably fall off.

Here's another one which shows you some of the bigger drops on the Matador. 4/5 ft for the first one and 6ft for the 2nd one. We couldn't be arsed pushing to the top of the Matador so no footage of the 8/9ft drop.

Again hope you enjoy it.

why the 12th Davy? you will have to push up. Perhaps you are just fitter than me. Bus much easier.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it whatever. Make sure you try to do the same route a few times. It gets better and easier that way.

Bong its the go-pro HD helmet hero, so just the standard Go pro mounting kit. They now do a cheaper HD version for £200. Think I might invest in that.

Meeting up with some of the lads on the 11th to hit GT and the freeride park, staying overnight and then doing a few of the DH runs @ Inners on the 12th.

we have done GT and Inners XC twice in one day before and it was bloody knackering.. minch moor was a 5 and 3/4 mile walk up for me...

this time we will do a few DH runs if we can...fitness permitting, my fitness for a 54 year old is not to bad....(not great, but not bad ) Cool

A Reign will be fine.
Anymore than 5-6" travel at innerleithen just means you waste more effort pedalling getting upto speed!

A 5/6 inch trail / all mountain bike at Inners will certainly let you hone your skills. I started off here on my meta 5 and it was definitely the first time I thought the bike was beyond what it was designed for (and me on it), hence moving to to DH bike.

DH bikes bail you out of all sorts of shit that make up for lack of talent. This I am happy with.

Bong I'll see what i can do.
