I use Hope Tech M4's and I wont be changing them anytime soon. They work faultlessly, have loads of modulation and feel, and loads of power. The people who review them in magazines are either too hamfisted to set them up properly or can't tell the difference between modulation and power. I suspect its the latter.
I can lock up on tarmac using one finger, but also slow down on a steep hill in the snow without locking up. I weigh 100kg which by the look of them in pictures is about 25kg more than those reviewers so if they stop my fat a*** that well i can't see how it wont stop them!
The adjustments on the levers are excellent and actually work so I can get the lever exactly where I want them, but the only slight issue I have is getting shifters close to them. They fit the old stlye SRAM X9's fine, but now I've changed to the matchmaker compatible ones they don't fit very well. I suppose its so I have to go and buy the matchmaker clamps.
Just a thought, can any of you genuinly say that you've had any brake that hasn't been capable of locking up the tyre?? The dyno tests might show that a certain brake is more powerful but once the tyre has locked up it is all irrelevant how much more power it has. Plus the only dyno results I've seen where they actually show the specs of the brakes on test had different size rotors, some with sintered pads some organic etc, which makes it a loads of BS anyway.

Ok I have the old Formula the Ones and all I can say is beast. So much modulation the power is crazy. Saying that I am running 203f/180r on my meta 55... I know overkill but they feel so nice and stop on a dime.

If you want a brake to really piss you off, then buy the Formula The One! Never had a brake that brought so much trouble! With the bigger disc sizes they do nothing else than making noise! Also you need a shop nearby with a truckload of pads! They wear like hell.
Then today, after not even 1000 Km of riding, the front caliper broke down. Everyting was covered with DOT 4.
I will NEVER EVER buy something from Formula. I really did like the way the brakes felt, but with so much drama I'm not even selling them, they just go right with the garbadge!
Now I bought Hope Tech M4, just because the Hope Mono Mini Pro never let me down. They sure do brake with less bite and force, but rather that with the knowledge they will always do their job, than hoping you will get stopped by something else then your head...

GijsJUH,
If you are about to throw them into the bin, I will gladly take them from you and I will cover the postage fee.
PM if you are willing.
Thanks,
Eric

Amen to that. My Oro K24's where complete sh*te, and spare parts and bleed kits etc are next to impossible to source in the UK
they are a complete pig to bleed, a terrible design with a blow off valve against the bars and mine pissed DOT fluid all over my carbon bars
Was glad to get rid, although I did sell them for a tidy sum to some unsuspecting mug (probably someone on here actually)

A big thumbs up for Shimano Saint. Everyone thats taken a spin on my bike has commented on the Saints stopping power. Bike radar did a test and I think Saints came out on top:
