I rode to Delamere forest today on my mountain bike.Big tires do you no good at all on the road .Has anybody got a small framed road bike they would like to donate to me.As I am not as rich as Damo and need to count every penny.

                                                                                 Thanks in advance ,

Dave, You would have more chance of picking up a spare set of wheels & putting slick tyres on!

BTW, you do know that getting a roady means you have to get balls-gripping lycra.

I have 1" slicks on spare wheels on my commuter bike
Its spot on, they roll so much faster
Only cost about £20 for the two tyres and tubes

Ive adapted the bike now with drop bars STI road gears/brake levers (with V Brakes and travel agents) and a Road chainset
Its my commuting bike, whole set up cost me about £50 and its all top quality Shimano stuff
Have you considered doing something that with your old bike Dave?
