Hi all I joined a little while ago.  I mostly lurk but thought it was time to saw hi.  So, Hi... I ride a meta 55 and have just bought a Supreme DH frame so that will be getting slowly built.  Because I am just finishing off my meta.
It started life as a 552 but the only thing left standard now is the rear shock, seat and post lol.  I'll post pictures when I can as I am stuck on a boat building a wind farm  Roll Eyes  I get home in about a week so hopefully the weather
is sweet in Aberdeen when I get back.

Dunno about the trails getting better, the ground is real soft, but some of the sheltered wooded trails arent so bad.
Havent got all the way out to kirkhill yet this year, but here's hoping for this weekend. Really need a dry spell about here.

Hows it going dude I thake it you are from Aberdeen or there abouts?  Me and a mate are thinking of doing some digging at kirkhill as a lot of the trails there are lacking flow lol

Yeah im based in central ABZ, and you are absolutely right - kirkhill needs a spade or a digger taken to it.

Bits of it are great, but there is no flow to the place. Anything that starts to get going quickly ends in something awkward and slow. That, and the forrestry commision like to take their equiment up the trails for tree felling - which just tears horrible straight lined ruts into the place.

The bike part bit is a bit strange to say the least - whoever designed it needs to have their head examined.

I do wonder if people would be allowed to fix it up - the place has some good potential for mini dh runs. I would love to get involved in a project like that.

Me and my mate have no clue if we as supposed to or not but we are just going to do it anyways. I mean how can they complain when the work is done by "volunteers". I was just going to try and get a good map and start going out after work when it gets a bit lighter out and mark out what's there and highlight the good stuff and look for potential spots for runs. Might take me years lol but hey if it takes the nearest riding spot to me to another level it would be awesome.

Before the bike park was there, a group of bikers had made their own pump track and jumps(supposedly it was better than the one now). Walkers complained and the forresty commission tore it all down. The next year they(the FC) made the park bit that is now there.

Mountain bikers are a bit more accepted now, so maybe now they wont object.
Google maps might be useful in marking trails and getting other people to chip in.
