I know I know stooopid question, but has anyone been up to Gisburn of recent and is it just a muddy mess or is it ok?

My mate wants to go and to be honest I find it more uphill than down and a bit uninspiring really, but it's a ride out I guess...

Any feedback appreciated and if it's muddy then it may be Lee Q... wonder if the Cragg Quarry link is done yet?

Lee - Cragg link is done. As for conditions your best bet is to ask Damo or Brownback, they are the locals to the area on here

Not been Gizzy for a few weeks - quite a few of the wetter bits have been re laid so would guess it should be ok. I think i am gonna be heading up to Lee Quarry on Sunday & the link is now in place.

Proper hardpack trail - rides like an XC loop outwards and a 4X track on the return. Not been up myself since it's been done so proper looking forward to giving it a blast!

Well got out to Lee today.... goddamn I forgot how sticky the mud is... still good fun!!

Went up the connecting link, not as bad as expected and eyed up the boulder jumps and then did a lap of Cragg which was good fun  Cheesy.........

..... came to the top of the link road and thought how quick it would be, but it was just a peddle fest and the boulder jumps are a bit short  Undecided!!

I'm hoping that it will speed up when it gets worn in a little, but should have been steeper in angles really and the boulder jumps are a bit short.

Is it an open walkway now as there were a load of walkers 20+ in a group on the way up?

Also seems a bit weird cycling up a path that people are coming down... roll on the simpletons that don't move or go in front of the boulders when you come hammering it down  Roll Eyes

Anyways was another good day out and those mud sliding skills will make summer riding a breeze !!
