What is the general opinion on these tyres, i've heard of a few people swapping them straight away and other dudes really loving them. Where are they best suited and who rates them? Discuss.....

sorry if this reply isn't that helpful as i've never tried that particular size, but the high rollers are a decent tire if you're into kinda heavy threads. Some people find high rollers in general to be too slow, but i kinda like em. On the other hand my favourite tire at the moment is schwalbes big betty tires as they suit my riding pretty good. My wheels are really light though, so they roll well regardless.

I had one on the rear and was shocked at how small (narrow, tiny knobs) it was. It worked OK but is too skinny for aggressive riding in Colorado.

2.1 are small; go for 2.35; however been trying to get a 2.35 Maxpro 60a High Roller for a couple of weeks now but everyone is out of stock and distributor is waiting for delivery from Maxxis..................

In my opinion...
Highrollers goes well in tarmac and other dry conditions. When trails contains wet portions, snow, mud or tree roots, high rollers are not that good choice. Acceleration is still OK, but steering get loose. My meta will have Continental Mountain kings as soon as they arrive. Until that i'll continue with Freddies rewenz.

I agree with troh, the high rollers are better for try conditions. In wet and mud they get really caked up and not much grip. Unfortunately I lack the funding to have a wet & dry set of tires.

I must confess i've got a bit of a rubber fetish! So i've got several different set of treads for the conditions etc, I was kinda thinkin of using these for UK trail centres, Glentress etc, these trails tend to hold up well even in wet conditions. They look narrow and seems quite fast on tarmac, i like a tyre to be predictably sketchy, like Schwalbe Racing Ralphs in the dry, you know how and when they'll break away.
Thanks for the opinions, keep em coming.

I got cinder 1.9 with my new 5.5. They're hanging up now! I normally have high roller 2.35, but have switched to Minion 2.35 foldable as they are very very light and have similar tread pattern top the high roller. Great tyre for Afan, Brechfa, etc. bloody light.....
