Just got in from a ride round my local. (Thurstaston for those who know the wirral)

EVERYWHERE was just a sheet of ice. Nearly came off so many times when going walking pace. The back end liked sliding out on the ice.

A couple of pics..

Ice underfoot


Thickness of the ice (Snapped some off) This was thin compared to the frozen lake next to it, and yes, it was solid. I was stupid enough to walk on it (It's only about a foot deep anyway)

Was quite warm though. Ended up taking all my layers off bar my long sleeve base layer for 5 mins at the top of the main climb. Sun was hot.

then you nead spikes tyres looks bad ice trail ..
