Is it just me or have they just lifted someone elses frame design again....

Perhaps i am missing the point of Morewood, they seem to have made their business from copying frame designs ,  like Orange etc

Dont get me wrong its very nice, i do like the shock cage design, but it would be nice to see them have a slightly more original idea

How funny. In the shop we were having EXACTLY the same conversation this morning after seeing a picture of another Morwood frame.

It's interesting that frame frame has a BOS shock. That's BOS Engineering, who designed the Contact System for Commencal.

Hmmmmm!

yeah, i had the complete same conversation with... eh, myself a couple of days ago. i'm sick, thus allowed to talk to myself, hehe.

this basically looks like a more refined supreme contact system, or more refined was the wrong way of putting it. It looks like the original design has been modified to look slightly different and possibly allow more travel. The pivot placement of this frame is also in front of the crank instead of behind it like the old dh had, though my understandig of pivot placement sadly isn't good enough to know what if any difference this makes. So the pivot placement is slightly to the front of instead ot to the rear, but the linkage is pretty much similar to the old design. Hm, i wonder if it makes for a large difference that the link is dragged by the top of the swingarm instead of pushed from the bottom? Lighter prob yes, but better?

Also, it makes sense from a buisness point of view. Commencals collabo with bos has resulted in extremely well functioning suspension setups, so when they decided to team up i guess it was in the works that the system would end up similar. Some people has stated that the commencal and a similar sun design both are influenced by an earlier giant design (or something), and a lot of people have ben calling wolf over designs similar to the metas, so i guess this was bound to happen as one of the two factors was the same. Looks like they had to spec the bos parts on it though - so it won't be cheap.

Also, cedric and his newish dh frame beat the crap outta (or beat him at least) pedemanaud in a recent race, so i'm guessing the "original" is still better. Wink or it might just be the rider.. Wink
