I stayed at Cae Gwyn this weekend and its lovely. Very bike friendly - bike wash, bike store and i think most of the folk there this time were bikers.  They took my VW campervan but won't take caravans at the moment (tho think they may have one on site to rent, not sure).  Loads of space, good showers, very friendly people, £8 a night and only 5 minutes from the trail head in the car.  They also allow bbqs as long as they are raised off the ground.

I wouldn't bother looking anywhere else...!

I've stayed there twice- excellent location for the trails- 2 drawbacks are no decent pubs within walking distance, and no fry-up in the morning. Cereal and toast only.

However it was 2-3 years since I was there, so it's possible things may have improved Smiley
