Anyone running 150mm forks on their 2010 meta5?

Any better than 140mm?

Asuming the axel to crown increase is only roughly the extra 10mm it wouldnt even be effecting gemonetry that much while you are on the bike as the it would be more like 6.3mm increase due to some of the new travel going into sag

i thought the meta 5 was an "all mountain bike" not a xc bike?

I thought so too. 5.5" / 140mm should be AM.
Anyway, the 2010 VIP frame Meta 55 comes with 150mm TALAS which i think is perfect.

Hey Damo, have you thought of getting yourself a pair of fox 36 float's lowered to 150mm?

That way you'll be able to use the same front wheel hub and get a much stiffer fork to boot.  I've heard a few things about those 150mm fox 32's not been that stiff and as an owner of a pair of 140mm QR15 floats, they're sometimes caught out over rougher stuff.

Just a thought anyway...

Woody. The axle to crown length is a full 25mm more than the 32's which would throw the geo out at least 0.5 degree? Just thinking that the 2010 meta 5 can take upto a 150mm fork, so i thought why not use it to it's full potential.

Nice thought though. I've got the money for the 32's nearly so gonna go for them. Hopefully that new kashima coating on the stantions will have a good effect.

Is that 25mm when they're set at 160 or 150mm?  I'd still do it regardless.

Admittedly they are more expensive to buy new but if you take a look on ebay, pinkpike etc there's bargains to be had...
