As ever peeps are getting hung up on the weight of a bike, reading too many mags I suspect ;-) The Supreme 8 is certainly not for everyone, it's most likely only for a very few, but unlike the Furious even with low sales it's still cost effective to produce it as it's using existing parts. If your thinking it's too heavy, or too over built, chances are you really only need the Supreme.

I'm not really hung up on the weight i just always asumed somewhat rightly or wrongly that the supreme's were always somewhat lighter than 44+lbs of the supreme 8 which is probably of similar weight to my demo8

My Supreme DH only weighs just under 41 lb and that has taken two seasons of DH abuse down some gnarly stuff in Whistler, Scotland, Wales & France.  Why they think a 44+lb 'huck' bike that you can't ride up hill and will also be a bitch to push up hill is a good idea defeats me Huh?  Huh?

Made lighter it would be a mint of a starter DH bike for a lot of UK courses, that's what it should be marketted at in the UK.

But its not a DHer! What on earth would be the point of producing another DHer? If you want lightweight DH, you have the Supreme.

Oh, I give up!

I know what you're saying, I just think it's pointless trying to sell a 'Huck' bike in the UK as I don't know a single person who would buy such a single minded 'beast' and I talk to hundreds of MTB'ers on a monthly basis.

I also rode one round whistler in July and thought it was ferkin awful then, whereas if it was priced right, cheaper than the Supreme DH, a lot of DH newbies would consider it as an introduction bike.
