went up ben lomond yesterday, well worth it i'd recommend it to all. it was a slog gettting up there, however the decent is amazing you can ride all of the 3195 ft back to the carpark apart from 2 tiny sections. took my mate up who has only ridden glentress once and hat off to him he made it back with only 2 over the bar moments. i pushed carried and cycle the mini dh to top ( took alot getting a 40 pound bike up there), then swapped my mate for the 4x on the way back down (100mm travel meant alot of arm and leg pump... but was worth every minute!!!!!) the ardent on the rear didn't like it 2 punctures on the way down. forgot camera so only photos from phone. gonna do it again next sunday so will remember camera.
so once again if you haven't done this i'd add it to the list!!!!

Well done for hauling a mini up there! I've done it a couple of times as i can see it from my house but its normally been low cloud cover when i've been up it. Shame there is no up lift.
