it is a definately a sobering watch
one very lucky guy, but how composed was he though to totally keep his head and neck still and supported whilst laying there, knowing something wasnt right

tell you what though, Ive seen every episode of the Atherton Project and numerous other videos of them playing around on their jump track, quite a few times there has been no helmets. Thankfully this time there was, it surely saved his life.
They are role models for a load of kids, lets hope given this and Rach's acident last year that its a lesson finally learned

...and Gee and the rubber glove peacock Grin

www.wingsforlife.com is a great charity as well, they do alot of good research and work for people with spinal injuries

Oh man, when I saw that pic of him supporting his neck I'm so impressed with presence of mind. I've work with people with spinal injuries. The C1/C2 bones they talk about are the ones just below the skull. If he moved and one of those bits of bone damaged his spinal cord at that level he would either be dead or have no movement from his neck down and not be able to breathe without a ventilator.

Great work to keep your neck still and good work to everyone on the scene. I'm wishing the guy all the best and hope he has a full and speedy recovery.
