Don't know which site you have in mind, but I know for two which don't need invite, Grooveshark and last.fm.

but had serious virus problems
I find that beechams do a good remedy for that, but if its of the more personal variety a quick trip down the local GUM clinic and a dose of anitbiotics and im right as rain again  |
