currently ive got a rocky mountain slayer sxc which is great bike awesome on the downs, but I could do with something a bit more pedal freindly and lighter as it can be a bit hard work on long runs. I've seen a great deal on a commencal meta 5.5 2010 (but cant test ride) and was thinking of changing...anyone comment on if the commencal is significanlty more pedal/uphill freindly then the SXC?

Can't compare the two, but the Meta is pretty good on the ups.  I never bother using the pro pedal but never have a bother with bob, either sitting or standing.  My Meta is as easy as my Giant Trance to get up the hill which is supposed to be a good climber.

I just got a 5.5 carbon which was on offer from Evanscycles. Not had any issues on it climbing (or descending come to that). Loving it! Was lucky enough to test my brothers before buying mine. Tested an Orange Pro 5 but far prefer the Meta 5.5. More responsive and 'fun'
