Just realised that it's 10 years to the day since the legend Joey Dunlop was tragically killed in Estonia.  Sadly missed and still a hero to me  Cry

Think I'll take my Ltd edition Joey Rep helmet out of storage and give it a commemorative ride out later when I'm out on the M/C  Smiley

I've never been bothered about the road race scene having always been a motocross diehard, but I totally respect the balls these guys have, and that lad had some of the biggest.

RIP.

He was an awsome rider. Sadly missed.

Although not as much for me as the Big man Dave Jefferies.

Amazing rider. Balls o steel.

It's nearly 3 years since my hero Colin Mcrae died. If in doubt, flat out.

Joey was and still is my hero not just for his racing but for his charity work.

I was in Castletown square for the prize giving after the Southern 100 meeting one year the fella with the microphone said "and 1st prize Joey Dunlop" I heard a quiet polite "excuse me can I come through" I turned round and there was a small scruffy long haired fella in a Honda jacket.  Joey Dunlop had been stood behind me quietly enjoying a pint waiting to collect his trophies.

Top racer and a Top Man.  Me and my mates sank a few pints in his honour last night, he went too early but at least he went doing what he loved.

Big Dave is also up there there on my list.  I was on the Island when he sadly passed and TBH I have never been back to the IOM since as it lost it's appeal from that day forth.
