I have a hernia op' start of Aug, so I'd prefer last week in Aug at the earliest.

Any kron easy there mate, whats with the 8am flights lol.!! i was thinking more along the lines of a 10.15 flight for me.
I stayed at riders retreat last year, they are only a few hundred metres down from the super morzine gondola,so good for biking and drinking, the digs are a sweet set up, nice clean comfy rooms, sauna and hot tub (essential after a hard days biking) , and a good secure garage for the bikes and has tools and powerhose. They have avail at the mo, 190 euros pp for the week.
And lucky if we go any later than the 21st most of the portes du soleil area is closed, only morzine and les gets is open for the week after that (28th onwards) but on the upside the accom is only 100 euros for that week, but it would mean no chatel

I'm flexible with dates as I be booking last minute after my op.  I'll be crashing an a mates sofa which is the opposite end of town to riders retreat.  Coincidentally he designed the riders retreat logo.

I think to be quite honest i will be booking last min too, but either the last week in aug or the 1st week in sept works for me, i will of course prefer the last week in aug as that when the full area will be open and i really want to go back to chatel,not only for the bike park but they also have some amazing dh trails.

I called my GP on Friday in attempt to convince my her that my hernia is causing severe pain (slight exaggeration).  Hopefully I could be bumped up the waiting list a few places.

Sweet, the more time you have for recovery after it the better, it would be a major bummer if it gave you any jip while we are over there!!
