Hi,

Is there anything out for the release date of the supremem 8? I'm looking at getting a supreme or something similar but quite like the sound of the 8, only thing is i'd like to be buying whatever bike I go for in August when the cycle to work scheme is released at my place.

Cheers
Chris

It won't be in the UK for quite a few months yet, and you won't be able to get it on the scheme anyway, it's too expensive.

Yes, some dealers will bend the rules, but the government are seriously tightening up in what can and can't be sold on the scheme, so any dealer will be taking a huge risk.

slightly unfair you cant get it on C2W, what if your work was as an international downhiller, a grands worth of Halfrauds Boardman hybrid wouldnt be much use Grin

The clue is in the name of the scheme, Cycle To WORK.  Regardless of what you do, it's to buy a bike to cycle to work on, not a bike for doing your work, if your work is a pro DHer.

It's a scheme that has been massively abused by some, and if that continues the government will simply pull the plug on it, as they lose revenue is the form of VAT.

The word is there will soon be much tighter restrictions on what can be bought, the way it's bought and how much money off you will get. Any shops abusing the scheme at this point in time, especially thru the Cycle Scheme operators are asking for trouble.

BTW- I think I'm taking this thread way too seriously!

Can't say I know the ins and out of the scheme but I thought you could top up the value in cash on the bikes
