For jumps air is better, for dh coil is better, i was only saying air cause he does a lot of jumps etc. Also the pros do use the vivid air, mick hannah being one!

The guys got a jump bike already.

Can you remind me how many world cups Mr Hannah has won this year?

Like I said coil ftw. Grin

I'd say supreme over furious any day.

The suspension on the supreme works better.

Sweeping generalisation there.

The Furious is a brilliant bike, but only for what it's designed for.
If you want something that feels brilliant while airborne, can handle big hits, and feels stable on slow techy stuff, then get a Furious.

However, if you want something that feels more planted at speed, suited to staying on the ground and being able to plough through rough stuff, then get a Supreme.

IMO, the Furious is Commencal's equivalent of Specialized's Demo 9. Both are brilliant bikes, but only for a certain type of riding, which isn't really flat out downhill.

Hi dude, i reckon im the best guy to give u advice here seeing as GT is my local spot and i have an absolut and a supreme!
What absolut do you have? im down at GT freeride most wknds, usually on my purple absolut.
And if you like , if we bump into each other you are welcome to have a blast on my supreme (well 08 mini dh, but im getting an 09 newer style frame in the next week)
But from what you have said, i can confidently say you NEED to buy a supreme!! i use my 2 bikes for the exact purposes you intend to use the two.

However, if you want something that feels more planted at speed, suited to staying on the ground and being able to plough through rough stuff, then get a Supreme.

Im inclined to dissagree with you here MC, the supreme is an amazing bike to jump, by far not just suited to hit things at speed and stay planted etc.

For jumps air is better, for dh coil is better, i was only saying air cause he does a lot of jumps etc. Also the pros do use the vivid air, mick hannah being one!

No that im afraid is balls dude lol  Wink , a well set up coil shock will out perform an air shock in everyway, the only benfit i see for an air shock is the weight, and of course presonal pref for how the shocks feel, but coil is way plusher.

The guys from Bikeactive are really good, that's where I got my 09 supreme 2 from as they are my local commy stockist and the service and advice seems to be spot on.  They're damn good price wise too especially on fox forks.
