Hi everyone, I'm looking at buying either a Furious or a Supreme. I've got an Absolut for dirt jumping and want a freeride bike to go with it.

I'll be riding dirt jumps, drops, some downhill, trails. I want the bike to be light and trickable (if that's a word).

I ride the freeride park at Glentress almost every weekend and would be riding it a lot there and Innerleithen.

Can anyone give some advice as to which bike would be best?  Undecided

Based on the stuff you are riding, tress and inners, i would say the supreme, its much lighter and much more suited to dh stuff

My supreme copes with dirt jump quite well but it is quite a compliant rear end.  Might be worth thinking about putting an air shock on it to allow you to pump it up for dirt jumping.  Do you need 160mm of travel?  As it sounds like the absolute sx would be a pretty good match if you predominantly ride jumps and slopestyle stuff.

I'd say supreme over furious any day.

The suspension on the supreme works better.

thanks for the info, I do ride a lot of dirt jumps and drops but I'm looking to get more into a bit more downhill and trail riding so looking for a bike that will cope with everything.

Supreme maybe with an upgrade of an air shock sounds like it would suit you perfectly

I use my supreme for everything and love it, handles everything really well, I've even ridden a couple of bmx tracks on it which whilst hard work was still lots of fun.

No, keep it with a coil..

The Fox air units are no where near as good as the coils.

but if the riding is quite jump orientated a air might be better! And the new rock shox air is out too now!

Supreme with coil mate, I know air is getting better but it is still not as good as coil.

The new vivid air is probably good but if it was better all the pro's would be using it in the races and not just trying it in testing.

Coil ftw.

For jumps air is better, for dh coil is better, i was only saying air cause he does a lot of jumps etc. Also the pros do use the vivid air, mick hannah being one!
