Managed to get a slighty different angle shot to the one which has been doing the rounds recently.

Why is this bike interesting?

1) It is pretty much the bike that Gee piloted at last years World Champs in Oz ( and he rode it a lot elsewhere )

2) The fixed head angle means that it can take dual crown fork without warranty issues.

3) The loss of the adjustable dropouts ( and the combination with above ) should mean a good price.

Look at it another way, for a while now triple clamp forks have been seen as overkill for everything but the gnarliest of DH tracks ( or Freeride huckvilles ). The quality and travel in dual crown forks is also getting better and they are lighter and more maneuverable ( anyone ridden some 170mm Lyriks yet? ). So for everyone but the hardcore racers, this is the Supreme we 'should' want?

The proof is in the ridding and Commie dealers will be out riding this bad boy next week at the official launch, we will see what comes after that.

It certainly brings into question the current Supreme ( or MiniDH for us older folk  Grin) and Furious ( post CG ) ranges.

Roll on the launch...

Oh no!  Apparently General Blight has stolen the entire worlds supply of prawn & cocktail Pringles and is holding it to ransom!

looks the part, and could see it coming I suppose what with the arrival of the meta 6, increase in choice of 180mm forks and the trend for more travel (slowing I know but still there). Looks the part as well, like the way they've trimmed it.
A few niggles though:

-Similarity in marketing to Driver 8; name and colourwise. Think some more thought could've gone into this...

-What will it weigh? If it'll be pretty much the same as a Supreme DH I could see more than a few being put off. I know the lack of adjustable head angle (which i think is a good thing) will save 200g (i seem to remember?) but can't see it being as light as a lot of the competition.

- Marketing as a freeride bike ?! With a 63.5º head angle, don't really understand this. Unless Light/Mini-DH has now become freeride...

Any idea on rrp yet?
