Hi All,

I have recently purchased with some resistance my first ever full suspension bike after years of sticking by my hard tails and plumped for a 2008 Supreme DH.

It has come with an air shock on which is a DHX 5.0 but also a spare coil 5.0 with piggy back.

Does anyone know what the main advantages to either of these are?

I am riding the Pass Portes Du Soleil next week in the alps next week and want to get it set up the best I can for it.

Any comments / advice would be much appreciated!!!!

The coil shock will be much plusher and will cope with small bumps better etc, but its really personal pref dude, but usually dh bikes are fitted with coil ones, i have only known of a handful to have air ones (peatys current v10 is one) .
