I agree with you on changing the color, but I am questioning if a company would take a frame from 2009 that was not sold, repaint it and sell it as a 2010 model.

I doubt it would be worth it, given that they would need to prep the frame for it to be repsrayed.

They'd essentially have to strip it completely down, shot blast it, spray it, then rebuild it.
Also, you've got the issue of what to do with all the old parts, and getting new parts.

MC

For complete builds that would be true, but for frames, it would be easier to do.
I don't see it being done nowadays as every company seems to liquidate their stock for very low prices (says something about the markups on bikes and parts).

There was a thread on a forum not so long ago. Can't remember where though. This guy had bought a bike and on the top tube the old writing was under the paint as if the frame had been repainted and new graphics fitted.

Ya the supreme 6 has the same design as the 2010 model. But i think it has more standover? I am only guessing but the top tube looks steeper that the 2010 model. Apart from that its red this year uses more Commencal made parts, has elixir 3 brakes and uses a gap moto x crankset. This is a little down grade from last year but I bet it would be more $$$$$. If I was buying one i would get a 2010 from real cycles while they are on special.  So cheap at the moment.

Long live the supreme! Cheesy

I just saw this on bikeradar. I cant believe the supreme 6 is going to be 3000 pounds. How can it go up 500 in one year. They say it is an update frame but look pretty dam similar. Bikes cant keep going up at this rate. I just hope there are still some 2010 models around at the end of the year and I can grab one of them. Don't care much for the mat red this year anyway.

Check it out

Look closer - "internally relieved tubing rather than the external gussets of last year’s models"

I like the Ramones cro-mo, not many companies are offering a hard core (steel) complete build like this.
