Will be interesting to see what the prices work out as... Just looking through the Meta 6 spec and there's a few downgrades from the 2010.  I like the blue paint scheme though.

Actually, the more I look at it the less genuine it appears to be.
Look at the spec of the bikes across the range, tyres from 3 manufacturers, forks from another 3, FSA parts appearing on the Supreme 8.  I'd have thought they'd stick to a limited number of suppliers for a range like that..

Well has no one noticed that the supereme DH is in atherton colours with ATHERTON RACING written on it like thats ever gonna happen! Alo the custom fox 40s graphics, plus the 2011 stuff is out now, so surely the 2011 commencal range would use that not 2009 stuff! Oh and the commencal absolut looks like a kona shonky!

Rocket Ron tyre on a Meta 5?
No thanks!
(and would seem strange to have such expensive tyres specced on relatively cheap wheels for a carbon bike demanding a £3k plus pricetag. tyres are normally one of those areas where savings are made)
and spec says 2x10 Sram but pic shows a triple chainset
Do Crossride wheels come in a 15mm version (ok they might in 2011) but again pic shows a QR fork

Still not beyond reason that it is possibly an early mock up. I will keep an open mind.

Not fakes as I just got an email from Commencal confirming the Supreme 8.

EDIT: This one:

Really liking the yellow. Think they're some of the best designs they've come up with for a few years now.

As said above, the Sup8 is real, it's the Dh but with single crown forks and a cheaper spec. Not sure on the SupDH linked to above. The decals say Animal, yet Animal have not been involved in the Atherton team since 2009!

Due to be too busy with the shop relocation I'm not going to the 2011 launch, the first new seasons launch I've not been at for years (I'll be missed. Well, my bar bill will be anyway!) so I can't give anyone the low down on the range this year til the news hits the street. But the official launch is at the end of the month so expect stuff to start leaking about now.

Bikes into the Uk are expected to see a small price rise, that's all I know. And they're due about Sept. Which is bike trade talk for late Oct.

Hmmm, I take tat back, it's not just the DH frame, look closely and you can see a lot of differences:

Standard drop outs with I suspect 135mm spacing
No adjustable headtube
1.5" headtube?
Same main pivot position as the DH though.

I'm thinking this is the replacement for the Furious.

Shame to let that ticket go to waste
Im very busy myself but we can't let the site down so at huge personal sacrafice I would be willing to make a heroic effort and be a complete saviour and take your place if you want?
I assume there is a site expense account for the bar bill? Grin

My Italian language skills are bit behind of needs in this case. Luckily texts spec-photos are in english.

If looking at Meta 55 Carbon, it looks like low spec bike. If this would come out, price must go so low, that there is no more need for alu-framed bikes at all. Well, they might want to save frame replacement costs and at the same time make low spec bike more appealing. 39/26 crankset is something that I'm not so sure about. 39 would need pro-pedal and 26 will make suspension quite firm when pedaling. As spotted by Ian, photo shows triple cranks. Wheelset is not Cross ride and Cross rides dont have Commencals branded hubs nor 32 spokes.

Regarding the Animal logo in the Atherton replica bike: There is actually an Animal logo in Athertons' DH bikes for this year as well: http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2010/04/08/1270721536789-1wltnayj2uey7-500-90-500-70.jpg
