If thats the MTB Pursuits place - http://www.mtbpursuits.co.uk/ ?
Ive been eying up that place for a couple of weeks and it does look pretty decent. Not too far from me either
Wasnt sure there was much there though that i could ride to make it worth the entrance fee
(and as most of Cheshire is flat as a pancake?)
Was tempted though by a jumps and drops course there maybe as its cheaper and closer than 'degla

Yes it is the MTBPursuits place.

It is well worth a trip over, but don't think of it as a trail centre, it's a bike park ( difference between street skating and a skate park? )

The jumps and drops course here would in my opinion be better as there are lots of different hits ( Bob and Ally do most of the coaching at Llandegla as well ).

There is a little shop as well, for local ice-cream and the obligatory Monster Energy.

Also check out the vids from the 4X comp on The Dirt site here

Any views on the carbon meta frame as an upgrade welcomed.
Expensive is my view... Smiley
Would you take it down one of those 12' drops?

Welcome here.
I think there are one or two on here with carbon meta's...
Perhaps best asking this Q in a new topic?

Hi all, I'm new here but was just browsing to check out any info on the meta carbon as i saw it's been reduced..i currently ride 09 Meta 5 and love it.

Anyway, i saw the Superbole mentioned and had to leave a comment...i did the jumps and drops course (1-2-1) with Lee @ MTBPursuits (Top bloke) on Friday and am still amazed at the stuff i hit. Been smiling for 2 days solid. I'm an average rider and the biggest drop I'd done before the course was about 3ft, within an hour i was flying off the biggest north shore drop (check out the pics on his site) which to landing point is about 12ft! Amazed myself. Was also jumping far higher than i have done before, would highly recommend it. The stuff is so nice to ride and my confidence has gone through the roof, i went to Llandegla the next day and shook it like a polaroid picture, my riding has increased 2 fold.

I'm not affiliated, just a stoked rider that has gone off stuff i thought i never would. Onwards, upwards and downwards!!
Any views on the carbon meta frame as an upgrade welcomed.
Kevin

I'll have a do at that. Been thinking of popping down there. Was talking to the owner at a BDS round earlier this year and he said it's for all people. I asked him what bikes it was for and he said 100mm upwards.

Might be good for a bit of coaching and general confidence building.

lol i dunno bout coaching but i'd gladly give any tips or advice i have to give. iain you can go away on your own at those points  Grin  , by the way the best way i have found for coaching mates it to bring a video camera, nothing beats showing someone where to alter their technique on a playback of a vid of them trying it, that way they can relate exactly with what you are saying, leaves no confusion in trying to explain things in just words.
