Me too (Talas 36's).  In the 130mm setting, the axle to crown height is just 4mm higher than a 140mm 32 float, so the Meta's geometry is almost identical to the complete bikes, then unleash the fork for full on descents - perfect!

Thanks for all the feedback, after saying I didn't want bolt thru's I picked some new 2007 Pike 454 air uturns for a bargain. I hope they're as good as everyone says!

Marzocchi Z1 SL '06. Really a nice match for the Meta 5.5. 20mm TA, superb RC2 damping and super plush. Also not that heavy at a bit less than 2200 grams. And not to forget "bullet proof".

I don't really need any type of travel adjustment. I can ride the bike up, even with the fork set at 150 mm of travel, almost anything I can ride with my race hardtail. It is just a matter of will Smiley.

Probably the only downside I can see is that it is not quite the efficient fork when out of the saddle. But you can't really have super small bumps sensitivity and no suspension bobbing when you're out of the saddle. However this is not very disturbing, since I don't race XC with this bike.
