Every year I do a lot of riding from my door.  Later on in the year I get fed up with doing the same stuff over and over, but right now I'm lovin' it.

I can do some really good 7 to (insert figure here) mile rides with quality single track, swoopy moors tracks and spanking downhills, from my door.  Not to mention the lungbusting climbs.

I was out Monday night on the Meta and tonight on the hardtail and it was just a blast.  The trails are drying out and it's just Fan Bloody Tastic at the moment.  And there are some signs of fitness appearing...

There's also a new bike shop opening a mile down the road from me (on the way to some of the trails !). How good is that?

I'm mentioning this because it's just too good to last.  We'll either have solid rain for the next two months, or I'll get dippy and break something  (bike or me) or something else will happen to ruin it all.

But until it does, I'm lovin' it.  Grin

Sorry mate, wasn't trying to wind you up (particularly).
Just had a blast tonight and had to let it out...
Shop's not open yet - drive past it in & out of work every day.
They're making progress but the shelving isn't all up yet.

Have a good one on the Monkey & report back.

How's paternity? Hope it's all going well for you, Jane & Isobel.

Anytime.
There's a patch at the bottom of the best DH run that's almost always boggy.  Another week or two of this weather and even that'll be dry (ish).

Out to Ladybower after 4 today. Smiley

Just got in from an epic ride. Boy it was good. Bit windy, but lovely weather. Stopped off at the pub. Did a new route today. Very dry and dusty. Makes a change. Please stay like this till at least next Sunday.

Glad you all had fun today. 7 am to 7pm shift at work and hardly stopped once.

Got home late which made her indoors late for her work.

Thankfully kids went to bed ok.

Night ride tomorrow all being well.....

Amen to that.  Anywhere near Lee Quarry or Gisburn?

Nice little out'n'back from Ladybower lay by, back of the Inn, Cut throat, Whinston Lee traverse & down to the reservoir, turn round & reverse (nearly made the climb up the flags as well, comedy fall over the back wheel clipped in Roll Eyes ) as far as the sign, then a cheeky descent  Cheesy. Great.

No. Just set out from my house. 28mile later, back home. Took some of the penine bridleway in.

fair play Fly, I used to go to Chester and Wrexham qute regular when I lived at my parents but I used to hate some of the roads on the way (New Chester Road etc - absolute nightmare on a bike)
Did you stop at the cyclists cafe at Two Mills (is it still there?) I interviewed Chris Boardman there once for an A Level geography project!

Amazing - well done that man.
I should think that'll take a day (maybe two Wink) to recover from.
