There really is no need for this thread. I'm going to pretend I'm trying to ask a question, but really, I'm just gloating that I've got my hands on a "officially it don't exist" VIP green carbon Meta swingarm.

I'm gonna pretend to ask which bike I should put it on: My 09 Meta 55, which just so happens to be green. Or my 2010 Meta 6, which is white, but with green decals, so it'll all work together nicely.

Bottom line is, which ever bike it goes on, it'll be ultra rare, and cool, and mine.

Once everyone has ooooh'd and aaarrrr'd about it, I'll offer to put up pics. But then pretend to forget, so teasing you even more.

Eventually, I'll put up some pics of the swingarm itself, then some pics of whatever I install it on.

Until then, I'm just gonna leave you all hanging, and gloat.

:-)

Same here.
Not much use for hardtails, or a Furious.

(of course, I could always blackmail steve so he posts pictures sooner...)

I dont believe you then. If there no pictures it's not real, and anyway how do we know its carbon? If its painted green just like the aluminium ones then there is no way to tell its carbon.  Wink

Why have the words 'caption competition' and 'stickers' just popped into my head Grin

TBH mate put it on whichever bike you ride the most but I imagine on the 6 it will bring the weight inline with the 5 thus rendering the 5 a pretty pointless bike for you to own, so you could give it away....to me Wink

Damo & Chris - we will know its carbon when the paint starts to flake off after the 1st ride Wink

(On seperate note Steve - did you get my email ref a quote for my own ultra rare and cool bike?)

Looks like aluminium to me. Get some sand paper and sand the paint off, then I'll believe you!  Grin

I'd have thought they all have something across the middle or the two halfs would fall apart when it was taken off the bike!?!

I guess the riveted on cable guide gives it away easily, no need to rivet them onto alu ones.
