oh come on, it's not that hopeless a question. you leave me with no choice... a poll!

ok, my current setup on my commencal supreme fr is a pair of mavic crossmax sx wheels with schwalbe big bettys triple compound 2.4 with some lightweight continental tubes. I'm planing on running em tubeless as soon as i can. I also own a pair of crossmax xl. The rear wheel is on my cannondale prophet (but i'm not able to use that bike now due to some servicing issues), but i was wondering if i should put on some lighter tires (on the xl's), some schwalbe nobby nics 2.4 as tubeless, and run the xl's as a spare/trail option for my supreme to make it lighter, hopefully faster and more trail friendly - and use the sx with bb for rougher trailriding and dh oriented riding. The other option is keeping my prophet for that kinda use (more xc style trail riding), or just using the supreme as it is (and selling the xl front wheel as well as the prophet). So what do you think? Would the lighter wheels and tires make for enough of a difference when used on flatter trails?

i've already had some good feedback on the subject from bendik, but it would be interesting to have some more input on the matter.
