Hopton was my first proper DH track, absolutely loved it, first run was a bit scary as I was following a mate who was quicker than me anyway but who'd also ridden there before.

Nice pics Smiley

That's how to get there..

When you turn left at the castle (Currently a building site), it's a couple of minutes at slow speed down the single lane road whilst looking for an open gate with a well used track up the left hand side of the field.. If you go on a sunday, you'll proably see people there every week until the end of the summer now, but i still highly recommend doing an uplift day first!

As for finding the trails, it's best to go with someone, the trails are easy to find, but there are a few of them!

There are some uplift days coming up there soon, and i'm gonna try to get on them, and they're the best way to find out about the place! No pushing, and session all the tracks as many times as you want..

The uplift dates are posted here.. http://www.pearcecycles.co.uk/uplift_dates They'll be released for Hopton in the next couple of weeks.

If you had to do the M6 commute every day would you want to do it again at the weekend?  Undecided
