Used to be that I would see quite a number of 07 meta 5's on the trails - now none, zipo, zilch, the centre of a dough-nut!!! Huh? Huh?

Have they all died and been replaced with 08 & 09's? Angry I am the only one left who's 07 meta has stood the test of Ae, GT, Inners XC &  uplifts, the alps & Bo'ness woods?

I am being tight by not replacing what doesn't need replaced? Undecided

Please let me know how many of you are still out there pounding the beaten trail with these relics!!!

Loads over here. Not sure on the numbers now but we must have cleared over a hundred 07 meta 5' s for Commencal at the end of 07, many sold local and most still going strong. Today we had three in the workshop, I'd go so far to say we always have at least one in the workshop.

Personally I never got on with the 07 meta, too slack for my liking, but I think it was the most popular model by far.

My supreme runs TALAS 36's. About 1degree slacker than a meta 5 at 160 for the downs, roughly 1 degree tighter at 130 for the flats, and about another degree tighter when at 100 for the climbs.

But its not about the head angle ad much as the seat angle. 07 was extremely slack, at full height my saddle was too much over the back wheel.

I'm 6'3" and 16-17 stone, so i've tended to run the meta 5 as an xc rig, so too slack is nit good.
