My warranty replacement finally arrived and is sitting down in reception.
I'm off work tomorrow too so I'm going to have a day bike building.

Came with new headset and seatpost clamp, standard QR dropouts only.

Thanks to Tony at Merlin for dealing with it and chasing Madison many times on my behalf.

Built and tested.
I'd forgotten (been riding a Giant Trance for 2 months) just how good the Meta is.

Spec now:
Meta 55 2010 frame
SLX cranks and front mech
SRAM x7 shifters
SRAM x9 Rear
Formula Oro K18 with 180 front & rear
Red Hope pro 2 hubs with Stans Flow rims
High rollers 2.35 front & rear

Weighed the new wheels before i put cassette and rotors on.  Lost 300g a wheel from the old Equaliser 27 wheels (with joes noflats kit installed)  Running just the stans yellow tape and olympic valve on the hope hoops.
It feels so much more chuckable with the lighter wheels, way easier to manual.

V happy!  Night ride tomorrow for first real thrashing.

First decent ride today.  Good blast around Hamsterley.  V happy!
However, weighed the bike the other day.  31lbs.  Thought it would be less than that but I suppose that's what you get for being a freakishly tall person who needs an XL frame.

X9 shifters ordered to try and improve shifter / brake lever positioning.
