There was an uplift on at bringewood last sunday, was really nice day, sunny as heck, but chuffing cold.

Mate did a vid of people riding, i'm in there, and oh look, he's named me on the vid.

Alright Ant, you look decent in that vid,yeah the speed wasnt crazy but you looked smooth and your line choice was decent too mate!! Where is it you are from? there seems to be plenty uplifts round you, i may come down ure way this summer and if its cool , ride with u lot??

Haha, i live just south of liverpool, and it's a 2hr drive south to these uplifts. If you're around, you're welcome to come join! (The places we ride are normally in the west midlands).

The shop that organises the uplifts are www.pearcecycles.co.uk and it's always a blast.

Was going to do an uplift every weekend for hte next month, but i was missing 3 weeks wage out of my last pay packet, so i'm gonna struggle this month.

Come the summer though, we'll be doing our own private uplifts where my mates mate has a hi-lux and a trailer on tracks in north wales.

BTW, that vid, that was my 10th and last run down the course, non stop top till bottom. Was feeling pretty tired.

look at the downhill section. stile kop is mint with a good 15-20 runs there of differing levels of riding.

Live on the Wirral i does! BTW, if you like DHilling, there's a track at Bala which i've NEVER ridden and there's the first ever public uplift there on the 18th of this month which i'm booked onto. It's normally a race only venue.

Been to style cop before.. Went for one of those timing days and my recollection of it was 'flat and pedally'. There are however, loads of tracks with plenty of variation.

Ant you definitely don't look the slowest for pace As bong said you looked smooth and if it was a full run late in the day then it's not surprising you weren't hauling it right on the edge!

I need to get over that way to get some uplifts done, but need to have a shoulder op (hopefully in the next month) so might just about catch the last few of the summer.
