Managed to get out on the new beast today, although the weather really has limited the play time.

Upgrades are basically....

Deity White Handlebars with fat chunky grips.
E.13 Turbo Charger
36t Race Face Ring
Trialling a new gear cable for a company, this may be as good as Mudlovers etc, but cheaper..... watch this space.
KS i950 seat post.
Superstar component pedals in Green.
Innertubes that came with green caps.... ha ha awesome!!

That's it for the time being until I either buy some new hubs or Hope decide Hope Hoops on White Stans Flows will be made available on their menu!!!
May look at upgrading the disc sizes, but I'll see how I get on this year as I dont want to lose the feel of the brakes as this is what happened on one of my Kona DH bikes!

Just in case the images don't work there's some on the following link.....

It's an XL and looks slightly different to the smaller sizes as you get a cool looking swan neck at the front!!

That's a handsome looking steed. I'm a fan of the white bars and frame combo.

I'm running Hope ProII with black Flow rims and it's a great combination. A reasonable weight and sturdy too. Some say the freehub's a bit noisy but you soon get use it.

Enjoy...Looks like you are already!

Yeah loved the 09 and was gutted when two cracks appeared, but now looking forward to some good days out this year.

Pro 2's on Stans Flows is my next step, just wish I could get them in white.... then again LBS said he could get them powder coated for £20 per wheel, just means no stickers oh and an extra £40 expense.... hmmmmm decisions decisions !!!

Pro 2's are purely there for making people know you've caught them up on the trail and they're either not going fast enough and should speed up or move outa the way  Grin !!!

Nice!!!

You`re right they do look a little different from the sml/med. I prefer the medium though Wink

How do you find the double and bash? I don`t really use the outer ring unless i`m on the road which doesn`t happen very often and a I do occasionally ground it. Any plans for a chain device?

Thanks Wink

This was my first outing on the new steed and with the new bash, so I've not had chance to test either in anger.... glad the snows disappearing now!!

I'm looking forward to having two rings now and depending on how it behaves will determine whether or not I get a chain device; however was debating before this whether or not I could cope with a single ring..... we'll see....

If i did go for a chain device it would prob be the blackspire stinger with a tarty green wheel  Grin

Woo Hoo..... got my new wheels and tried them out at Whinlatter on Saturday!!

Decided to change the lowers on the forks too seeing as though I was going from QR front and back and now running 15mm up front and a 10mm DT RWS on the back end.

I was looking at going Maxle, but the axles was £45 and then I needed the Axle too so I'm happy enough with the DT RWS.

To finish off I just need an update from Owen at Slik Graphics, although I kinda like them blank!!

Nice hoops. They look remarkably like the ex-Team wheels that JRA were selling. Just out of interest what do they weight and what is you opinion of them.

I swapped my lowers for 15QR jobs and didn't replace the Fox decals either. A set would have cost £15 and they get scratched up pretty quickly, plus it saves a few precious grams Wink

They were.... looked a couple of times and kept thinking hope's from Mr Wheelpro, but then with the axle options and rim tape etc decided to bite the bullet and go all blinged out for that little extra Grin

They feel nice and stiff, although I changed a hell of a lot all at once to stiffen the whole lot up. Loving the buzzzzzzz sound they make  Grin

Not sure how much they weigh, I'm not too bothered... I just know from reviews that they are around what I was looking for.

I'm sure I'll feel the difference on one of the trails I know a little better... possibly Degla next month  Cool
