I'm fine as i fortunately missed the trunk and just bounced and rolled to stop, unfortunately the bike wasnt so lucky as it impacted bar and stem first and cracked the frame at the top tube below the gusset Cry

It's going to be a good few mounths before i can buy a new frame and chances are it wont be a commie as i dont have the money for a supreme dh frame

Holy cr*p! Well at least you're up and walking dude! Any chance of getting a new frame on finance through SteveB? That might be an option I'd suggest?

Oh dear this is not good. Sad Really sorry to hear that. The death of a one off!.

Surely there must be a burial followed by a wake with much drink?

Saving up is obviously the sensible idea but the price of bikes these days means a long time saving to get £2K + together.

All the usual places are doing some good deals - what do you fancy next? heavier duty than the meta6?, free ride?, DH?

Let me know what you fancy and your price range and I'll keep an eye out for good deals.

she's going to get pride of place hung up on the garage wall so i can still gaze up her uniqueness Cheesy

I'm probably going to end up with two bikes in the end as i have nearly enough spare parts to build both a long travel hard tail and a full bore dh bike as all i really need parts wise other than frames is rear mech and a 150mm rear wheel.

dh frame wise im looking at an 09 or 10 devinci wilson, supreme dh or the morewood izumi but im keeping my open for any second hand bargins

Are the 2010 front ends not compatible with the 09 rears?  If so then could you not get a new front end and sell the lot?  Or just sell the rear stays, linkages and shock (I'm interested in the shock as it's a 200x57 coil piggyback which is what I'm after for my supreme).  That should get you some money towards a new steed.
