Don't worry, not another thread to twist and moan about the warranty problems that have occurred with Commencal frames!

On the contrary, this is just a quick message to say how impressed I have been with Madison / Commencal. I found a crack on my Meta 6 on Jan 28th, started the warranty process the next day and by the 15th Feb I had a brand new 2010 Meta 6. 2 weeks turn around isn't bad at all so it looks like they have noted the comments made previously and are sorting it. The only problem I had was that they sent the wrong dropouts but a quick call and they had them to me the very next day.

So thanks to all involved and to a good years riding!

Thats pretty impressive. Glad to hear they have got things sorted now. You must be really relieved after some of the horror stories that have been posted on here and other forums.

Nice one. Thats good news.
Out of interest, who did you deal with? Direct or through a retailer?

5 & 1/2 weeks for me and counting.

I did a mixture of both because the LBS wasn't as desperate as myself to get the thing resolved. As SteveB and others have said, Madison won't deal with you directly but I found an in.

Madison/Commencal were able to sort mine through photos too (Maybe my Supreme DH and Absolut in the background helped). I actually still have my old frame. They told me to build the new bike up, check I was happy with it and then put the old one in the same box and call them to arrange collection. Meant I was never without the bike although it was un-rideable.

Overall I was without it for two weekend, one of which I went snowboarding at Fort Bill and the other I spent on the DH bike so no loss really. If it had been much longer (or I didn't have other options) I would have become very frustrated though.

Russalf, That's an excellent result.

Did you involve the dealer/person you bought the bike from, or did you just deal with Madison directly?
