Has anyone purchased a Deal Extreme P7 light recently ?
I've read the forums advice and reviewed Bikeradar and MTB Britain web sites, which have been very helpful, but am still a bit confused over which one to buy.

Won't be doing loads of night riding, but plan to mount on handlebars and want it V approaching F bright when I do.

Considering the MTE SSC P7 C-Bin 900-Lumen 2-Mode LED Flashlight (1*18650) c/w batteries, charger, adapter and handlebar mounts.

Any advice / guidance would be much appreciated.

the torch type one is much cheaper and there no delay. Current leadtime on the P7 is over 2months.

Faboy - might be best if you post links to the ones you are asking about
I assume the one you mention is a torch like one that Popeye is also on about as it is being described as a flashlight?
(P7 is only the LED type, has nothing to do with the housing shape or lens, and its also the lens that accounts for alot of the definition and light spread - as important as brightness)

Thanks for the info, yes it's a handle bar mounted, torch type one that I'm looking for.

I've tried to insert a link - hope it works.

Although the type suggested by Fly6154 does sound like the dogs dangly bit's.

I have the two mode 'Torch' type off DX - its easily good enough, i use it for night rides every week. My advice would be to get some spare batteries though as they only last for just over an hour each on full power.

I'm ordering another to mount on my helmet as the fixed handlebar mounting (as with any light) isn't brill for fast cornering!

I got this one too. It took a little over two weeks for it to arrive and for £50 it is awesome. Combined with my Hope Vision 2 its epic.

Thanks for all the good advise.
Bought one of these for my helmet : http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12623 and one of these for the handlebars : https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149

Both delivered in 11 days from Hong Kong along with extra batteries, chargers, adapters and mounts.
Looks good and currently on charge. (just wish the snow and ice would melt)

Hows that combo working faboy?

I'm after a MagicShine for the handlebars and a torch for my helmet but didn't know which P7 torch would be best.

And, how have you attached the torch to your helmet? I was thinking of using 2 of these straps http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12000
