Okay, read a thread somewhere where someone suggested this, so here are my feeble efforts...........

Done this coming off at my local woods, you just know that one time you don't wear your knee pads you're going down right.....

And done this adjusting my avid calipers while the wheel was still spinning. My nail and a rotor meeting..........

Did this @ llandegla a few years back.

Had to wear shorts for a week, and it went down to the bone. Still got massive scars there now.



i also bruised my thumb when putting my bike rack on some time ago too.

This hurt as much as the slash on my knee!



As for other injuries, i tend to be padded up most of the time now, so most of the injuries tend to be muscle pulls or something along those lines.

Oh, and the last big-ish injury i had was when i crashed into some barbed wire, and i had to pull the wire out of my skin. That ripped a lot of skin off and went quite deep. Didn't bleed though which was odd, but i've got a perfect couple of round scars from where the wire cut me.

Yeh, it was pretty gay, and it lasted about a week.

I was surprised at how much i actually used my left thumb actually, as i thought i hardly used it until it happened.

Broke my finger in Les Gets last summer. It was completely snapped in two near the knuckle, plus a further two fractures... it needed an operation to insert a plate and pins.  Also cracked ribs from same incident.  Something so minor as a broken digit cab be really debilitating!

I think rugby has buggered up my right shoulder.

Damaged my medial ligament and hip joint during my first winter season in Morzine.  

Completely ruined both ankles skateboarding during my rebellious phase

When I was a nipper I broke my front tooth during harvesting.  For you townies... thats what we do down on the farm.

i sympathise with the thumb injuries, ive broken my thumb 3 times from skiing slalom on dry ski slopes n it hurts a lot

my leg shortly after i got new pedals, did it just pissing about in the streets rather than actually serious riding


and my little brothers leg ( which ive put on the site before) when he slipped a pedal over a jump and the chainring tried to eat him, our parents paid for a bash guard and made him get rid of the big ring after that haha

Bike was fine, but seemed to get more and more heavy trying it get out of the woods and the 1/2 mile back to the van. was the adrenalin that got me back.
