Hi, if i was to go to america and buy a spesh sx frame and brought it back to the uk, if anything went wrong with it, would it have to be sent back to the USA if i got warranty or can i register it in the UK?

with is better for fr/trail use Specialized sx or commencal meta 4x?

You would have to send it back from what I understand. The warranty would be with the place you bought it from, which would be in America.
As far as comparing an SX trail and a Meta 4X, they are very different bikes. The SX is a long travel freeride bike where as the meta 4X is a short travel bike with a low standover. The Commencal equivalent of the SX would be either the Meta 6 or the Supreme, so for fr/trail use the SX would be better than a Meta 4X, but the Meta 6 or Supreme would be worth a look.

If you're talking about the sx trail then that is as chrissturch said a very different bike, however if you're talking about the sx (which isn't on the spec site for 2010), then it would be pretty similar to the meta 4X.
