What you doing during the festive period this year?
I am actually quite looking forward to NOT having to go to mother in law's or have mother in law over to mine, cos this year we are all heading off to stay with my sister in Southport! It will be party, party, party instead of having to pretend I love my presents from MIL and listen to her drone on and on about people I don't know. Whooo!!!!! and indeed .... Hooooo!!! Roll on Santa! hehehehehe
Have a Good Un Y'all

Just hoping for a quiet family xmas, got two weeks off work so hoping to get a decent amount of biking in.

I have the mother in law coming to me christmas day
But fortunately I have the best mother in law ever and the stepfather in law (is that a real title, do they exist!) has already asked me if 48 cans of beer will be enough for the two of us for day?!
(I said no best get a bottle of JD in as well and some Jagermeister to throw on the christmas pud
)
Then after boxing day's hangover I'm heading back to my parents for a couple of days, hopefully with bike in tow (if I can get it, the dog, the wife, and assortment of present shaped objects (note the order of priorities
) in this stupid hire car I have at the mo) and maybe meet up with the "Tranmere Terrier" (Fly) for a quick blast around the best bridleways the Wirral has to offer
When I get back around 29th I think there might ba a plan to go to Dalby (bit of a festive ritual with some of my mates)
Have a good one all, I plan to

"Blubber and flippers everywhere apparently"
Must be THE quote of 2009, but thought this was the Falklands not a Saturday night in Scunthorpe
Steve, how do you find these things on STW, do you search for them or follow every thread?

Inversely I am NOT looking forward to having the in laws over to ours and pretending I love my presents I'll never use then having to listen to them drone on and on about people I don't know and how unwell the MIL thinks she is.
What I am looking forward to is a day thrasing round Landegla with a mate who's just taken delivery of a new Zesty he's planning to blood then claiming bragging rights on behalf of Commencal

I'm sleeping all the way through christmas.
I'm currently working 70 hour weeks at work (5x 14hr days), and will be till the end of march, but i've got christmas day off, and the sat/sun after it off too.
Then back to the grind. (Overtime pay is awsome though
)
I live with my parents still (I'm only 22) and therefore will be getting rather merry after a few beers/whiskys.
